However, the sushi was quite sticky and difficult to separate without breaking, which made eating a bit messy. • Dynamite Shrimp Sushi: Absolutely delicious! But the roll came apart easily, possibly because it was loosely packed. Overall, the flavors were impressive, and it was a fine dining experience. A little more attention to sushi structure would make it even better. ”

“ We were at You Mee for lunch on a weekday, and there were only a couple of other tables occupied, all with people who seemed to be office-goers from nearby Cyber City. In winter and spring, the few tables that are placed out front would be pleasant, but right now, the air-conditioned interior was very welcome. From their menu (mostly Japanese and Chinese, some other items from east Asia) we ordered a shared appetiser (bacon-wrapped prawns) followed by a main course (hibachi fried rice – egg; and lamb black pepper) with a passionfruit boba tea. Service was good, food delicious. I would happily come back here. ”

You half expect to see Goku walk in and order a plate of gyoza. But strip away the fanfare and cosplay cues, and what remains is still what YouMee does best: bold, unapologetically inventive Pan-Asian cuisine. Let's talk about the food. We began with the Spicy Chicken Katsu Sushi — crispy karaage-fried chicken rolled tightly in nori, dotted with mayo, and sprinkled with togarashi pepper. It's not traditional sushi, but it's unapologetically YouMee — comfort food dressed in cosplay. The Spicy Vegetable & Chive Dimsums were another revelation.
